Skiing holidays in the Zillertal! You can look forward to 500 km of slopes with extraordinary views and unlimited possibilities. The ski shuttles, which are free of charge, take you to the Spieljochbahn cable car station as well as to Hochfügen. All our houses are situated in the Zillertal’s First Holiday Region, which is why we recommend the following skiing areas:

Spieljochbahn: family-friendly skiing area in Fügen

The Spieljochbahn cable car takes off from the centre of Fügen and is the gateway to a family-friendly skiing area that is also ideal for beginners. It offers 17 km of slopes and its 7-km run leading all the way to the valley is the longest one in the Zillertal. There is a training area for the little ones right next to the cable car station in town. A new slope, which was opened in 2015/’16 allows you to move on to Hochfügen more easily: Just ski to the bottom and hop on the ski shuttle to Hochfügen.

Skiing area Hochfügen - Hochzillertal: almost 90 km of slopes and amazing views

Up the road from Fügen you get to the ski area of Hochfügen-Hochzillertal. On almost 90 km of slopes it offers abundant fun for beginners, families and experienced skiers. The ski lifts take you up to 2,500 metres above sea level, where you enjoy amazing views. End your day in one of the many après ski bars.
If you want to experience Hochfügen by night: night skiing, culinary delights, music, snowtubing, tobogganing, spectacular ski shows and – as the highlight of the season – the Seilrennen, where three skiers connected by a rope compete against other teams.

Who says you always have to stay on perfectly groomed slopes?
The Zillertal offers exciting off-piste runs in knee-deep powder. With 65 freeriding runs comprising more than 300 km, the Zillertal ranks among the biggest off-piste areas in Austria. Most of the runs offer between 1,000 and 2,000 metres in altitude difference and are great fun if you have the right gear.

Our recommendations for freeriding in the Zillertal:

    • Superbowl – intermediate run in Hochfügen

Cross-country skiing is an intriguing mix of workout and pure relaxation. As with Nordic walking, all muscles are used when cross-country skiing, which has an overall positive effect on the body.

You can look forward to a total of 125 km of cross-country slopes, both for classic and skating style. While some slopes cross the valley, others are higher up, where you can feel the air getting thinner. Enjoy unique moments on your cross-country skis! All our houses are in the vicinity of cross-country slopes.

PS: You can rent cross-country skis at special rates from our ski rental shop.

Tobogganing should be on any itinerary during your skiing vacation in the Zillertal! Some tobogganing runs are close to a cable car so you can take the gondola to the top for an easy ascent. Others take you on a romantic walk through snow-covered forests before you can enjoy the fun of going back down on the toboggan. Don’t forget to stop at one of the many huts for refreshments and some authentic flair.
PS: You can rent toboggans free of charge!
